hod by which Burna Boy’s single, ‘Rock Star’, might have leaked leaked.
The
Aristokrat Record’s rappers comments have come on the heels of Burna
Boy’s outburst on twitter which accused his former record label,
Aristokrat Records, of undermining his success, and leaking his single.
“The original song was recorded 2 years ago by LeriQ. Pucado told Pulse.
"Based on the fact that my guy (Burna Boy) has gone indie, he’s on his
own now, he kinda made some decisions on his own, but I felt like, there
are some decisions if you wanna make them, you need to talk to your
partners. Even though you are not with them anymore, you need to talk to
your partners.”
Pucado went on to reveal his
thoughts on the method with which the single found its way to the
public, subtly blaming friends as the source of the leak.
“It’s
just a little misunderstanding with the fact that he reproduced his
track with another producer, and he actually announced that the song was
about to drop, and come on, a whole lot of people have the original,
the one LeriQ has. You don’t know how many of his friends that has
tampered with it.
“So with the excitement
that ‘Yo my dude is about to drop this ‘Rockstar’ single that is crazy,
let me be the first to just leak the first to just leak the stuff.
That’s how I saw it.
Burna Boy went on to release his single, but that was not before he called out the Aristokrats on twitter. Pucado maintains that Aristokrat did not leak ‘Rock Star’, stating that all is well between Burna and his employers.
“It
has nothing to do with Aristokrat Records, we called and spoke to him
that evening, he was cool, he was just trying to make us understand that
he is just not happy. He is not just happy because he had plans for
everything. It’s business.
